In order to effectively fulfill the duty and mission of safeguarding people’s lives and property safety and maintaining social stability, according to the regulations on the title of fire rescue in People’s Republic of China (PRC), the measures for recruiting firefighters for national comprehensive fire rescue teams (for Trial Implementation) (No.5 [2018] of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security) and other policies and regulations, the relevant matters concerning the public recruitment of firefighters are hereby announced as follows:

I. Recruitment Plan

With the approval of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the national comprehensive fire rescue team publicly recruited 18,665 firefighters, including 11,880 firefighters and 6,785 forest firefighters. The recruitment plans of provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) are shown in the table below.

Third, online registration

At the time of registration, the recruits must choose one of the fire rescue team and the forest fire brigade. According to the principle of "in which province you register, you can take the assessment in which province", the recruited object can choose to apply for the examination according to the recruitment plan of the province where the household registration is located, or choose to apply for the local fire rescue team or forest fire brigade in the province where you often live (residence permit is required).

Fourth, recruitment assessment

The assessment items include physical examination, political examination, physical fitness test and post adaptability test, psychological test and interview. The specific arrangements for the recruitment assessment in various places shall be issued by the recruitment offices of provincial firefighters.

(1) Physical examination. It shall be carried out in a designated general hospital above the municipal level, with reference to the standard of military ground service personnel in the Standard for Physical Examination of Applicants, and those who fail the physical examination shall not be recruited. (4) Psychological test and interview. The psychological test is conducted by the third generation psychological test system of the Armed Police Force, and the system automatically judges "qualified" or "unqualified". Firefighters are paid wages that are consistent with their positions and ranks and conform to their professional characteristics.
