       The reporter conducted a search on the e-commerce platform in JD.COM, and found that the information related to e-cigarettes could not be retrieved.

       Tmall, another e-commerce platform, also issued a response saying that from now on, e-cigarette related products will be removed, and the sales and advertising of e-cigarette related products will be prohibited. It is understood that at present, nine e-cigarette shops have been blocked and e-cigarette products have been taken off the shelves on the platforms of JD.COM, Tmall, Pinduoduo and Suning.cn. There are also several e-cigarette companies that have closed all e-commerce platform stores to realize the removal of products from the whole network.

       In addition, the regulatory authorities also put forward specific requirements according to different types of enterprises. Taking search engines as an example, in addition to cleaning up and blocking keyword searches involving e-cigarettes, it is also required to clean up the website links of e-cigarette sales under natural search results.

       The relevant person in charge of the State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau said that at this stage, the focus of China’s supervision on e-cigarettes is to protect minors. In the next step, the market supervision of e-cigarette products will be strengthened, and a number of relevant law enforcement departments will be combined to investigate and deal with all kinds of illegal acts according to law.
