We should adhere to the guidance of the Supreme Leader’s Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the New Era, accurately grasp the main theme and mainstream essence of the history of New China, adhere to historical materialism and correct political orientation, academic orientation and value orientation, constantly innovate propaganda methods, strengthen educational guidance, enhance the role and function of the research on the history of New China, and make positive contributions to strengthening historical self-confidence, enhancing historical initiative and better rallying the spiritual force of unity and struggle.

As a researcher of the history of New China, we must stand firm in political stance, adhere to the correct political direction, establish a correct view of history, consciously grasp the world outlook and methodology of the Supreme Leader’s Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the new era, strive to produce more research results that keep pace with the times and stand the test of history and people in response to the changes of the world, the times and the history, and answer the questions of China, the world, the people and the times well.Promote the combination of the basic principles of Marxism with the concrete reality of China and the excellent traditional Chinese culture, so as to lay a solid historical foundation for the modernization of Marxism in China.

In accordance with the requirements of the Supreme Leader General Secretary, we should firmly grasp the main theme and mainstream essence of the history of New China, correctly understand and scientifically evaluate the major events, important meetings and important people in the history of New China, correctly treat the twists and turns and mistakes that have occurred in the history of New China, and correctly understand and handle the two historical periods before and after the reform and opening up and their relations.
