Soil pollution prevention and control law

　　On the 27th, the third draft of the law on the prevention and control of soil pollution was submitted to the fifth session of the 13th the National People’s Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) for deliberation. It is stipulated in the third draft that if the use is changed to residential, public management and public service land, the soil pollution should be investigated in accordance with the regulations before the change. During the revision of the second draft, some members of the Standing Committee, local authorities, experts and the public suggested that residential, public management and public service land directly related to human settlement safety, and access management should be strengthened to ensure that land meets the land use requirements before development and utilization.
