A new sense of technology, optimized appearance and six-seat layout space in the car. The new Stargazer preview map was released.
[car home Information] Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is publicly soliciting opinions on five mandatory national standards, such as Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Passenger Car Brake Systems. The deadline for comments is July 27, 2024. The details are as follows:
5.2.18 Article f) stipulates that for Type A vehicles and vehicles with both Type A and Type B electric regenerative braking systems, the braking effect achieved by releasing the accelerator pedal in the forward gear cannot slow down the vehicle to stop.
Type A electric regenerative braking system does not belong to the electric regenerative braking system of service braking, that is, kinetic energy is recovered by loosening the accelerator pedal; Type B electric regenerative braking system belongs to the electric regenerative braking system of driving braking, that is, kinetic energy is recovered by stepping on the brake pedal. Generally speaking, after the implementation of the new national standard, the kinetic energy can still be recovered by releasing the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle will still slow down, but it must be braked to stop, and it will not stop without stepping on the brakes.
It is reported that the draft itself was jointly drafted by institutions including major car companies, including multinational car companies and China brands. In the early discussion stage, different car companies had great differences. Since today’s draft for comments is like this, it shows that most car companies support the abolition of the single pedal model. If there are no accidents, the single pedal mode may become history after July 27, 2024.
The document points out that in recent years, with the gradual and extensive application of the A-type electric regenerative braking system technology, drivers may develop corresponding driving habits by controlling the accelerator pedal for a long time, which may lead to misuse such as wrong stepping under emergency braking conditions. In order to define the position of Type A electric regeneration as an auxiliary brake, this requirement is put forward on the basis of full industry research and discussion, aiming at guiding drivers to develop good driving habits and ensuring driving safety. Considering the current situation of industry technology and products, this clause gives a separate transition period. (Source: Interface News, @ Not Zheng Xiaokang; Compile/car home yaoyu)
