Little bully with ultra-low power consumption! AMD RX 6600 depth test

Product test platform:

The following is a detailed configuration table of the test platform.

Little bully with ultra-low power consumption! AMD RX 6600 depth test

Five graphics cards are mainly used in this test, and the control groups are RX 5600 XT, RTX 2060, RTX 3060 and RX 6600 XT. 100% benchmark is RTX 2060.

It should be noted that since most of the tests use non-public graphics cards, the performance of graphics cards needs to be analyzed together with the running frequency. Because the CPU platform has been switched recently, the graphics card without power consumption test is tested on the old platform (this comparison includes RX 5600 XT).

RX 6600 is mainly planned for RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 2060 12G released by NVIDIA, but there is no direct comparison object yet.

The core frequency of this test is 2254MHz, which seems to be running on the public frequency. If the previous A-card test can reach about 2500MHz, it is expected that the performance can be further improved by 10%.

Introduction of performance test items:

For children’s shoes interested in further understanding the comparative performance, detailed test data will be provided here. The test will be roughly divided into the following parts: GPU theoretical performance, GPU benchmark test, game performance test, hardware acceleration test and power consumption test.

As usual, the amount of data will be relatively large. There are some updates on the test items, and the game part will include five parts: DX9, DX11, DX12, VULKAN and DXR.

In terms of game performance, RX 6600 is the best under VULKAN, which can lead RTX 2060 by nearly 20%. However, in the resolution comparison, it is rare to see obvious differences between different APIs, and both sides of AN win or lose at high resolution. At the same time, RX 6600 also performs better than RX6600 in low resolution.

From the test, the optical tracking performance of RX 6600 also has some problems, and the watchdog will lock the frame at 4K.

Since the statistics of game performance are calculated according to the average of 1080P and 4K, it can be approximately used as a comparison at 2K resolution.

According to the resolution, the performance of RX 6600 is obviously better at 1080P, which is 6.5% ahead of RTX 2060 on the whole. RX 6600 performs well under DX9DX11DX12, but VULKAN’s lead is less than 4K, which is more suitable for lower resolution operation and positioning.

Compared with 4K, RX 6600 is obviously weaker. Except for VULKAN’s lead, the performance of other APIs is not very good, especially under DX9 and DX11.

The acceleration performance test of OpenGL is just a simple look.

In terms of overall performance, RX 6600 can lead RTX 2060 by about 5%, and the gap with RTX 3060 is also obvious. Compared with the public version, the frequency gap is 12%.

In terms of power consumption, the performance of RX 6600 is remarkable, and the overall power consumption is quite low. On the premise of leading RTX 2060 in performance, the power consumption can be reduced by 20%.

To sum up briefly, RX 6600 is expected to win a lot against RTX 2060 12G.

Theoretical performance test shows that the theoretical performance of RX 6600 is quite high, which can be higher than that of RTX 3060.

In terms of running performance, RX 6600 can lead RTX 2060 by more than 5%, and it is also close to RTX 3060.

In terms of game performance, the lead of RX 6600 over RTX 2060 will be slightly reduced by less than 1%, and the disadvantage with RTX 3060 will be widened.

In rendering performance, RX 6600 is still quite powerful, which can be significantly better than RTX 3060.

Actual operating parameters:

The average frequency of the core under 3DMark Time Spy baking machine is 2254MHz, and the highest frequency is 2307MHz. The memory frequency is stable at 1738MHz. This frequency should be a lower public frequency.
